If your child has missed doses, catch-up is usually possible; bring whatever record you have.
Growth monitoring tracks height, weight and head size against expected ranges, and development covers the milestones — sitting, walking, first words, social response. The point is not to compare your child with someone else's but to notice a pattern moving away from their own, which is what a chart over time shows and a single visit cannot.
Fever, cough, colds, loose motions, vomiting, throat and ear infections, and rashes are the bulk of what children are brought in with. Most are viral and settle on their own. The consultation is as much about identifying the few that are not, and telling you what warning signs to watch for at home.
Not every symptom needs a specialist, and waiting is reasonable for a great many of them. These are the ones worth an appointment rather than another week of watching.
Bring any previous reports and the actual strips of the medicines you are taking — the packaging carries the strength, which the name alone does not. Tests ordered on the day are processed in the laboratory here, so most reports reach your consultant within the same visit.
